PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately retrieve a document desired by a user at a high speed in a document management system for managing many documents. SOLUTION: The document management system 1 automatically retrieves the document suited to a specified condition by performing vector space analysis and determining a similarity degree for various kinds of files managed by a file management system 111 and various kinds of the documents stored in document databases 123 and 124. By recording an access history when the user operates a user console device 13 and browses the document or the like and learning the concept vector of the document of a retrieval object on the basis of the recorded access history, the document suited to the specified condition and related to the behavior tendency of the user is retrieved.
