PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preferable image display system for displaying to overlay two projection images, using a projection display device. SOLUTION: The image display system 1 includes a first projector 2, capable of processing display data and capable of light projecting an image corresponding to the display data, a second projector 3 capable of light projecting an image corresponding to display data, and a screen 4 for displaying light projected images. Furthermore, the first projector 2 and the second projector 3 are connected to be mutually communicating by a communication cable 100. In the first projector 2, the display data after processing are transmitted to the second projector 3 via the communication cable 100, and the images of the display data after processing light projected by the first projector 2 and the second projector 3 are displayed by being overlaid on the screen 4.
