PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet type transporting container for a plant for easily packing a cut flower immersed in water and for easily disposing after use. SOLUTION: This water retaining container for transporting a cut flower inserted in the bottom of an outer box and immersed in water comprises a corrugated cardboard frame body 1 and a plastic film bag 2. The frame body 1 is jointly provided with a pair of top panels 3 and side frame panels 4. A leg panel 5 is extended from the top panel 3, and the panel 4 and the panel 5 are connected through a triangular corner folding piece 6. An inward folding line 7 forming the boundary between the piece 6 and the panel 4 is inclined inward from a top corner. When the panel 5 and the panel 4 are folded downward while the piece 6 is folded, the panel 4 inclines with a narrower bottom, a protrusive piece 8 is protruded from the top end of the panel 4 with a wider top and the bag opens along the inside face of the piece 8.
