<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire that suppresses reduction in the quantity of light, due to rise in the temperature of a ring-shaped fluorescent lamp during at use. <P>SOLUTION: The luminaire 1 comprises a ring-shaped fluorescent lamp 10 and a holder 30 for holding the same. The holder 3 includes an arm 34 for holding a portion around an electrode of the fluorescent lamp 10, and an arm 36 for holding a portion near a position that is farthest from the electrode. An upper member 37a and a lower member 37b, arranged so as to sandwich the fluorescent lamp 10, are provided on the front end side of the arm 36. Those members 37a, 37b are formed in such a shape that the outer portion of the fluorescent lamp 10 in the radial direction thereof is exposed in part, and are configured to form a gap 20 for heat dissipation in between the outer surface of the fluorescent lamp 10 and themselves. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
