PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic made thin and light-weight assembly type maintenance-free electric wire drum having a recessed type rib reinforcing hollow double wall structure. SOLUTION: This electric wire drum 1 is constituted of cylindrical drum parts 2-1, 2-2 combining a pair of plastic drum half bodies having the half cylindrical hollow double wall structures and a pair of disc type collar parts 3-1, 3-2 having the hollow double wall structures respectively molded under a blow molding method. Recessed type ribs 5-1, 5-2 to reinforce are provided with a predetermined interval between them in the inside of the disc type collar parts 3-1, 3-2, and the drum parts and the collar parts are connected to each other and fixed by using a plurality of bolts for assembly. Outer diameter lines of the bolts for assembly are arranged in a state of internally contacting with outer diameter lines on surfaces of the cylindrical drum parts and serve to reinforce the cylindrical drum parts 2-1, 2-2 against tightening force in taking up an electric wire or a cable.
