PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the heat insulating performance of a heat insulation sheet and preclude exfoliation from a member to be insulated or a poor workmanship of affixation. SOLUTION: An outer sheet 66 consisting of a thin film made of aluminum series alloy is overlapped on one surface of an inner sheet 65 consisting of a heat-resistant material having gaseous nature, in which the outside contour of the outer sheet 66 is made ranging out of the outside contour of the inner sheet 65 with a certain width is reserved so as to form an extension margin 67 continuing over the whole peripheral circumference of the inner sheet 65, and sticking means 69 and 70 are provided on the extension margin 67 and the other surface of the inner sheet 65 so that the sheets 65 and 66 can be affixed to the member to be heat insulated 29. The boundary between the part where the sheets 66 and 65 are overlapping and the extension margin 67 is furnished with a missing part 72 for exposing the outside edge of the inner sheet 65 to the outside air.
