PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color rewritable display device which is excellent in repetition responsiveness of coloring and is practicably used. SOLUTION: The color rewritable display device is characterized by being constructed using an aromatic dicarboxylic acid ester derivative or an aromatic diacyl derivative as an electrochromic material and using a metallocene derivative as an electron donor.
