PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head in which ejection frequency of ink drop can be increased and regulated by minimum necessary alteration. SOLUTION: The ink jet head 1 is constituted by laying a plurality of thin plate materials in layers such that ink is introduced from a common ink chamber 6 through an ink supply passage to a pressure chamber 15 thence ejected from a nozzle 22 by pressure variation in the pressure chamber 15. The ink supply passage is constituted by arranging first ink supply passages 16 and 26 formed with the same height as that of the pressure chamber, and at least one second ink supply passages (17-20-18) having a function identical to that of the first ink supply passages.
