摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical irradiation head having high light utilization efficiency, easily aligned with another head and easily processed, an information storage device for executing high-density information access by such an optical irradiation head, and a combined head manufacturing method suited to manufacturing of a combined head having such an optical irradiation head. <P>SOLUTION: This head is provided with a first structure part 150 including a first good propagation part 151 made of a first low attenuation material whose light attenuation is substantially ignored, a second good propagation part 152 made of a second low attenuation material whose light attenuation is substantially ignored and whose refractive index is larger than that of the first good propagation part, and a hard propagation part 153 made of a material having light propagation lower than that of the second good propagation part and sandwiching the first and second good propagation parts by a pair, and a second structure 160 disposed in one of both sides sandwiching the first structure part 150 to concentrate a light in the first structure part 150. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
