PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel cosmetic having excellent elasticity and aging stability, exhibiting good removability in use, giving refreshing feeling, free from stickiness and having excellent usability. SOLUTION: A stable gel cosmetic having excellent usability and elasticity can be produced by compounding xyloglucan which is a polysaccharide derived from the seed of Tamarindus indica with a lower alcohol and powder.
