PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus having a clock circuit and a structure for setting the time which is capable of maintaining time series of examination data and allows a user to set the time. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises an input means 2 for entering an instruction, an information processing means 4 for setting the time in accordance with the instruction from the input means and for storing the time, a display means 6 for displaying the time stored by the information processing means, and an ultrasonic processing means 3 for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves, for processing acquired data and for transmitting processed data to the display section. The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus is further provided with a communication means 5 for exchanging time information with a time server 16 connected via a network. With such a configuration, the information processing means can set the time, when the apparatus is not carrying out an examination and when the ultrasonic processing means is not receiving data.
