摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latex agglutination method for widening a measuring range and enhancing the measuring sensitivity of a low concentration region. SOLUTION: In a method for measuring an antigen to be examined by the latex agglutination method using sensitized latex particles, two kinds of large and small latex particle groups different in mean particle size are used and the respective latex particles are sensitized by the antibody subjected to the antigen-antibody reaction with the antigen to be examined while the purity of the antibody sensitized on the respective latex particles is antibody sensitized on the respective latex particles is within a specific range and the ratio of the amount of the antibody sensitized per one small latex particle and the amount of the antibody sensitized per one large latex particle, the mean particle size of large latex particles, the mean particle size of small latex particles, the concentration of the large sensitized latex particles in an antigen-antibody reaction system and the concentration of the small sensitized latex particles in the antigen-antibody reaction system are within specific ranges. The large sensitized latex particles and the small sensitized latex particles are reacted with the antigen to be examined in a state floated in a buffer solution and the agglutination of the sensitized latex particles is subsequently measured optically.
