PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent holding of inventory for every plurality of machine models by stocking such a machine model as alterable to a different machine model at any time by an information storage medium in an electric apparatus having a hardware which is common among different machine models. SOLUTION: A machine model judging substrate 51 comprises a substrate body 53, and a memory 55. The memory 55 is held on the substrate body 53 and employed commonly for a plurality of machine models. It can be provided for an image forming apparatus having an I/O section operable as a predetermined machine model according to machine model information inherent to each machine model, and machine model information capable of operating an image forming apparatus of predetermined machine model as a different machine model is stored therein.
