PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel belted sports shoe with a belt to tighten a front opening of an instep, allowing a user to arbitrarily select the degree of tightening of the instep as the user likes and to arbitrarily change the design, etc. by attaching/detaching the belt. SOLUTION: As the instep belt 5 is detachable, the user can arbitrarily select the mode of the sports shoe between the mode with the belted appearance with a high degree of tightening of the instep by the belt and the mode with the belt-less appearance with a low degree of tightening of the instep according to the liking or the feeling of the user on the day. The front and rear sides of the instep belt 5 have different designs, and therefore, two kinds of designs can be selected with only one instep belt 5 by selecting either design when the instep belt is attached. A connection means 8 for making the proximal end of the belt detachable and a fastening means 9 for fastening or unfastening the free end side of the belt are mounted also on an instep heel part so that a heel belt 5' can be attached to the instep heel part. Accordingly, the user can arbitrarily select whether the belts 5 and 5' should be both attached to the instep front and heel parts respectively or one of them should be attached, or select change of the differently designed front or rear side of the belts 5 and 5' in the instep front and heel parts.
