Control method for an electric machine (5) in which a control unit (1) comprises a parameterizable speed control and a parameterizable additional control. The machine is used to position a displaceable machine part (7, 8). The position of the latter is detected and at least a parameter of the speed control and at least one parameter of the additional control are modified dependent on the position of the displaceable machine part. An independent claim is made for a device for controlling an electric machine.
