PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the axial dimension around the inside circumference part of a hydraulic torque transmitter by devising the construction around a thrust washer in the hydraulic torque transmitter. SOLUTION: A torque converter 1 transfers the torque from an engine to an output shaft extending to a transmission side by the fluid. This torque converter 1 is equipped with a front cover 2, an impeller 3 and a turbine 4. The turbine 4 has a turbine shell 11 arranged in the direction to the impeller 3 and a plurality of blade is equipped and a turbine hub 13 arranged on the inside circumference of the turbine shell 11 to connect the output shaft and the turbine shell 11. Also this torque converter 1 is preparing the annular sliding member 80 that is arranged between the front cover 2 and the axial direction of the turbine hub 13 and receives the axial load and the support member 70 that is fixed to either of the front cover 2 or the turbine hub 13 and supports the sliding member 80 biasing it axially to either of the front cover 2 or the turbine hub 13 furthermore.
