PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair cosmetic that improves hair feel after application and drying without preventing hair modification effect (gloss, setting properties, etc.) by an organic acid and an organic solvent. SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic of not-washed away type comprises (A) an organic dicarboxylic acid or its salt, (B) an organic solvent selected from an aromatic alcohol, an N-alkylpyrrolidone, an alkylene carbonate, a polypropylene glycol, a lactone and a cyclic ketone and (C) an organopolysiloxane in which a poly(N-acylalkyleneimine) composed of general formula (1) [R<SP>1</SP>is H, a 1-22C alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, aralkyl group or aryl group; n is 2 or 3] is bonded through a hetero atom-containing alkylene group to at least one of a silicon atom of an organopolysiloxane segment and which has the weight ratio of organopolysiloxane segment to the poly(N-acylalkyleneimine) segment of 98/2-40/60 and 50,000-500,000 weight-average molecular weight.
