The invention relates to a convertible vehicle provided with a retractable roof comprising at least one front roof element (25) pivotable around a first joint (25) towards a rear roof element (27) which is pivotable with respect to the vehicle frame around a second joint (27a). Said roof elements are movable in such a way that they are unfolded towards the front of the vehicle when they cover the cabin or they are backwardly folded for uncovering said cabin. The vehicle comprises stretchers (41a, 41b) which are arranged on both sides of the cabin and are provided with guiding elements (49) receiving guided elements disposed on the lateral sides of the front roof element (25) in such a way that during the roof movement, said front roof element is guided towards the rear folded position thereof where it is folded above the rear roof element which is connected to the vehicle frame by means of the second joint.
