PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of precisely printing printed matter with a curved surface, and a printed curved surface object by this method. SOLUTION: This method of printing a curved surface comprises the following processes: a process to apply a printing ink to a plate projecting part, of an original relief-printing plate, whose projecting part height is 1/2 to 1/3 (3 to 50μm, preferably 3 to 25μm) of the thickness of a photosensitizer of a conventional original relief-printing plate; a process to press an elastic blanket with, a curved surface of a specified shape which is formed in one polar direction and set to the curved surface of the printed matter, to the original relief-printing plate, to which the printing ink is applied, arranged in place, and transfer the printing ink to the curved surface of a counter shape; and a process to perform a printing step by moving the elastic blanket to which the printing ink is transferred and bringing the elastic blanket into contact with the curved surface of the printed matter. In addition, the elastic blanket is made of a silicone rubber with 5 to 20 hardness and the viscosity of the printing ink is 15 to 250, preferably 15 to 100 PaS.
