PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device, which is comprised of a plurality of disk controllers that have a cache memory and disk arrays that have a sharing volume accessible from the plurality of the disk controllers and can secure data consistency between the cache memories. SOLUTION: The disk device is provided with the plurality of the disk controllers DKC, which have a channel adaptor, the cache memory and a disk adaptor, and the disk arrays DA, which have a sharing volume KVOL simultaneously accessible from the disk controllers DKC. The disk apparatus has a switch SW, which connects the plurality of the disk controllers DKC with the disk arrays DA, and the switch SW has a memory, which temporarily stores data to be written into the sharing volume KVOL from the disk controllers DKC.
