PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic containing 3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxycinnamic acid and derivative thereof as active ingredients, capable of preventing sun-burn by ultraviolet rays and having beautifying effect by inhibition of thyrodinase activity, effect for reducing stain, etc., and skin aging inhibiting effect. CONSTITUTION:The aimed cosmetic obtained by blending 3,5-dimethoxy-4- hydroxycinnamic acid expressed by the formula (R is H, straight-chain, branched, cyclic or polycyclic alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or quaternary amine) and/or derivative thereof as active ingredients. In the use of the cosmetic, since the cosmetic is soluble in alcohol or polyhydric alcohol, the cosmetic is applicable to broad agent type and in the application, one or two or more kind from a group consisting of the above-mentioned active ingredients can be selected and used. The above-mentioned active ingredients are blended at a ratio in the range of >=0.01wt.%, especially preferably 0.5-10wt.% based on the total cosmetics. |
