PURPOSE:To improve light fastness and heat fastness of a silver halide photographic sensitive material by forming a hydrophilic colloid layer contg. a specified coupler for forming a cyan dye and a specified compd. on a base. CONSTITUTION:A coupler for forming a cyan dye, expressed by formula I, and a compd. expressed by formula II or III, are contained in a silver halide photographic sensitive material. In formula I-III, R1 is an aliphatic group or an aromatic group, etc.; each R2, R4, and R5 is an aliphatic, aromatic, or heterocyclic group; R3 is an H atom, halogen atom, or an aliphatic or aromatic oxy group; each R2 and R3 may form a 5--7-membered ring; Z is an H atom or a group or an atom which can be eliminated in the stage of coupling with a developing agent; each L1 and L2 is a di-quadri-valent aliphatic group; each (n) and (m) is an integer 2-4; each R4 and R5 may be same or different to each other, wherein L2 is not an unsubstituted cyclohexylene group when m=2. Thus, the light fastness and the heat fastness of a silver halide photographic sensitive material are improved. |
