<p>This invention provides a process for producing a high-density optical disk which can suppress the occurrence of cloud derived from sticking in mold, can prevent a deterioration in hue and light transmittance and has excellent optical properties. The production process is characterized by comprising the steps of (1) providing a resin composition prepared by adding a predetermined amount of monoglyceride behenate to an aromatic polycarbonate resin, (2) injection molding the resin composition to prepare a substrate, and (3) forming an information recording/reproducing layer on the substrate, the aromatic polycarbonate resin having a sodium metal content of 0.0005 to 0.05 ppm and a viscosity average molecular weight of 10,000 to 20,000, the monoglyceride behenate having a sodium metal content of not more than 1 ppm.</p> |
