<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcapsule with little coating swelling without using aldehydes and a method of producing the microcapsule. <P>SOLUTION: The production method is employed for producing a microcapsule having a protein coating which employs a complex coacervation method and at the time of setting the coacervated coating, it is carried out in co-presence of water-soluble polymer compound having an electric conductivity of 0.005-1.2 S/m in form of an aqueous 10 wt.% solution or a water-soluble polymer compound selected from polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyethylene oxide, and their mixtures. The microcapsule contains one of the above-mentioned water-soluble polymer compound in the coating. The microcapsule is useful for a magnetic display medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
