PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive device capable of miniaturizing an electronic camera or the like provided with a collapsible lens, and having structure resistant to impact, and to provide an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: The lens drive device is provided with: a lens frame 50 storing at least one lens; a shutter 41 disposed on the imaging side of the lens frame 50; a lens cap 40 for uncovering a lens face and covering the lens frame 50 and the shutter 41; a cam pin 54 disposed on the periphery of the shutter 41 of the lens frame 50; a cam ring 53 disposed on the peripheral part of the lens frame 50; and a cam groove 56 on the imaging side and a cam groove 63 on the subject side, which are formed in the cam ring 53 in series. The cam ring 53 has, in its subject-side end, an opening for the cam pin 54 continuous with the cam groove 63.
