PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray dryer capable of reducing dispersion of granularity of obtained granules, and of effectively preventing incorporation of impurities. SOLUTION: This spray dryer includes: a slurry discharge part 5a for discharging slurry; holding parts 6 and 7-1 for holding the slurry discharge part 5a; and a rotating disc 3 for radially spraying slurry discharged from the discharge part 5a. An upper plate 33 is formed on the rotating disc 3, and the spray dryer has irregular shapes on the upper surface of the upper plate 33 and/or the undersurfaces of the holding parts 6 and 7-1.
