PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for processing a picture capable of preventing the generation of a tone jump while removing a foundation, a back copying or the like, a method for processing the picture, an picture processing program, a copier, a copying method, and a copying program. SOLUTION: When an original is copied, input picture data are input in which the colors of the pictures are specified regarding a plurality of the pictures by reading the original. When the input picture data are converted and output picture data displaying output colors in a printer are gained, colors in which brightnesses exceed a specified threshold value are converted into constant brightness colors while being converted, so that the brightnesses are changed smoothly in a brightness region having the threshold value or less.
