GLASS PANEL FOR CATHODE-RAY TUBE AND ITS INSPECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect visibly an existence of interior defects of a face part of a glass panel and a size and a position in a depth direction using a comparatively simple inspection device. SOLUTION: A second inspection light 7a (8a) incident inside a face part 2 from a side of the face part 2 becomes scattered light P2a having irregular reflection at a part of an interior defect P2 when there is one P2 inside the face part 2. On the other way, an auxiliary light 10a incident inside the face part from a side of an outer surface 2b becomes reflection light 10a1 reflected by an inner surface 2a formed into a rough surface. Then the scattered light P2a of the inspection light 7a (8a) at the position of the interior defect P2 is visually recognized in a condition recognizing a position of the inner surface 2a by the reflection light 10a1.
