PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper guide structure capable of avoiding an enlargement of an upper side dead space of a rack, by preventing dust-dirt generated from a guide part for restraining swinging of a stacker crane in the orthogonal direction to the traveling direction, from falling outside a guide rail. SOLUTION: The stacker crane 12 is restrained from swinging in the orthogonal direction to its traveling direction, by moving by guiding a member 21 to be guided arranged in its upper part by the guide rail 20. The member 21 to be guided is stored in the guide rail 20, and a slit 20a for allowing a part of a support part 23 for integrally moving the member 21 to be guided with the stacker crane 12 to project to an external part of the guide rail 20, is formed above a contact part between the member 21 to be guided and the guide rail 20.
