METHOD FOR CARRYING OUT TREATMENT FOR PREVENTING SCATTERING OF ASBESTOS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for carrying out treatment for preventing scattering of asbestos in which scattering prevention effect of asbestos can be kept over a longer period. SOLUTION: The method for carrying out treatment for preventing scattering of asbestos-containing material comprises preventing scattering of asbestos from the asbestos-containing material by permeating and solidifying a treating agent to the surface of the asbestos-containing material. In the treating method, the treating agent comprises a silicon compound and the silicon compound is composed of a silicone and an alkoxysilane. The treating method further comprises impregnating a penetrant containing an acrylic material or a polyvinyl alcohol into the surface of an asbestos-containing material and covering a covering material composed of one compound selected from titanium dioxide, calcium sulfate and aluminum hydroxide or a combination of two or more compounds selected from those on to the impregnated surface.
