<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch the output method of a received message in a recording mode and a reproduction mode in a moving image recording/reproducing device. <P>SOLUTION: This digital camera 101 is provided with a camera sever 102 for distributing a moving image through a network 104 to a client system 103, and for receiving a message from the client system 103. In the camera 101, the output method of a message to be received from a client is set in every recording mode and reproduction mode from a plurality of methods, that is, voice output, icon display, telop display, message display picture and temporary storage and output in reproduction.
