<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case for an airbag device provided with a movable body capable of retracting when receiving external force and absorbing shock sufficiently when the movable body retracts. <P>SOLUTION: This airbag device 1 has the case 2, an air bag 3 folded and stored in the case 2, an inflater 4 for swelling the airbag 3, a mounting frame 5 for attaching the air bag 3 and the inflater 4 to the case 2, and a lid 6 covering the case 2. The movable body 50 capable of moving downward is attached to a comb type rising wall 23 of a case main body 10. A hook part 52 of the movable body 50 is hooked to a lid leg piece 6B. Column-like parts 23b to 23d are provided on the comb type rising wall 23, and the movable body 50 is welded to upper parts of each column-like part 23b to 23d.
