PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for a tape measure capable of easily measuring the arranged length of a rain gutter and accurately by a work with a single person. SOLUTION: Rain gutter insertion groove body 2 of a substantially U-shaped cross section for inserting a rain gutter C end part 10 is provided adjacent to one end of a tape measure laying sheet body 1 for laying a scale belt 9 end part 91 of the tape measure B, a tape measure keep plate spring piece 3 is detachably provided to the upper face of the tape measure laying sheet body 1, and a rain gutter keep member 4 is provided in a lifting manner via an elevation tool 5 inside the rain gutter insertion groove body 2.
