PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire sidewall, which can prevent change in the appearance of the sidewall caused by blooming etc., of an antioxidant and is excellent in physical properties such as mechanical strength and fatigue resistance. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for the tire sidewall contains 100 pts.mass rubber comprising a halogenated butyl rubber and a diene rubber and 0.5-10 pts.mass specific compound.
