<p>An inorganic board which has high strength and is significantly improved in dimensional stability and freezing/thawing resistance. Also provided is a process for producing an inorganic board which comprises adding mica to a raw-material mixture consisting mainly of a cement-type inorganic material, a siliceous material, and a ligneous reinforcement in order to improve the dimensional stability of the inorganic board, adding a water-soluble resin in order to improve the strength and freezing/thawing resistance of the board, dispersing the resultant raw-material mixture in water, forming a mat from the resultant raw-material slurry by a papermaking method, pressing the mat, and aging it in an autoclave at a temperature of 150°C or higher, wherein the proportion by mass of the cement-type inorganic material to the siliceous material is in the range of from 35/65 to 45/55. Thus, the curing reaction of the inorganic board is accelerated to reduce the amount of unreacted substances. Consequently, the board produced can have further improved dimensional stability and further improved strength and freezing/thawing resistance.</p> |
