PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container having very clean grain and a beautiful appearance which enables improvement in workability and mass-productivity and realizes low price by paying attention to a sliced plate formed of wood sliced not more than 3.0 mm in thickness and forming a barrel member with a desired strength through winding of the sliced plate. SOLUTION: A peripheral wall member 1 comprises the sliced plate formed of the wood sliced not more than 3.0mm of thickness which is wound once or plural times and fixed at its ends.
