PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheathed heater, in which local deformation of heating wire in a heater tube can be distinguished by appearance and a temperature detector can be attached to an appropriate place, and also to provide a heater using the same. SOLUTION: The sheathed heater is formed by putting heating wire 2 in the heater tube 1, connecting terminals 3 led out of ends of the heater tube 1 to both ends of the heating wire 2, and narrowing down the heater tube 1 after filling insulation powder 4 in the tube 1. One of the terminals 3 has an appearance distinguishing part 3a with which at least a part exposed outside the heater tube 1 is distinguished from the other terminal 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
