PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotophotographic photoreceptor for wet development superior in solvent resistance improving not only solvent resistance of a photoreceptor but also improving electrification characteristics even when being used over a long period of time, and to provide an image forming apparatus for wet development provided with it. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor for wet development provided with a photoreceptor layer containing at least a binder resin, a charge generating agent, a hole transport agent, and an electron transport agent, kinematic viscosity (25°C, ASTM D445 compliant) is immersed in a paraffine solvent of 1.4-1.8 mm<SP>2</SP>/s for 2,000 hours, then an elution amount of the hole transport agent is 0.040 g/m<SP>2</SP>or less, or the kinematic viscosity (25°C, ASTM D445 compliant) is immersed in the paraffine solvent of 1.4-1.8 mm<SP>2</SP>/s for 2,000 hours, then an elution amount of the electron transport agent is 0.12 g/m<SP>2</SP>or less.
