A superconductive thin film that even in a magnetic field, exhibits a high critical current density and exhibits a high critical current value per unit width. There is provided a superconductive thin film comprising a substrate, an oxide layer superimposed on the substrate and oxide superconducting layers superimposed on the substrate and oxide layer, characterized in that the oxide layer has multiple island-shaped parts and is constituted of an oxide of perovskite structure exhibiting no superconductivity at liquid nitrogen temperature. The multiple island-shaped parts of the oxide layer function as pinning points finely divided in the thin film.
