PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp that can keep an amount of mercury for discharging necessary to start a first lighting of the fluorescent lamp, wherein delamination of fluorescent material film caused by the amulgum is hardly generated. SOLUTION: The fluorescent lamp has a fluorescent material film formed in a glass bulb, and a rare gas and an amalgam particle sealed therein. One of the amalgam particle consisting essentially of zinc, tin and mercury is sealed in the glass bulb. The weight of the one mercury particle is not larger than 20 mg. The equations, 45×(1-A)≤x≤55×(1-A), 75A≤y≤85A, 45-30A≤z≤55-30A, and x+y+z≤100, are satisfied when the content of zinc in the amalgam particle is xwt%, the content of tin is ywt%, and the content of mercury is zwt%.
