PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high orientation properties and improve uniformity of magnetic characteristics while eliminating unnecessary consumption of materials and complexity in design. SOLUTION: A molding material containing a magnetic powder and a thermoplastic resin is molded, e.g. by injection molding so as to form a long bond magnet for a magnetic roll. At this time, an inserting die 21 is used, which has a cavity 24 corresponding to a shape of the long bond magnet for the magnetic roll. A pair of yokes (an upper yoke 31a and a lower die 32 functioned as a lower yoke) is arranged for applying a magnetic field to the molding material injected into the cavity 24 longitudinally along the cavity 24.
