PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical coupling device with which a plane optical element and an optical transmission body such as an optical fiber are optically coupled with high alignment precision without occupying a wide space, increasing a number of parts and without requiring improvement in process controllability. SOLUTION: The optical coupling device is provided with: a plane optical element which has a light emitting function and/or a light receiving function; a structure body which is arranged on the plane optical element and has a V groove formed by Si anisotropy etching and a surface having a 45°angle with respect to a light incident and emitting direction; and an optical transmission body (an optical fiber, for example) which is fixed by the V groove and the surface having the 45°angle with respect to the light incident and emitting direction of the structure body.
