PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preclude over-charging and over-discharging on/from an electric power storing element while the feeder cable voltage is stabilized and accomplish a lower loss at the time of standby. SOLUTION: An electric power storage type regenerated power absorber comprises a power storage device, a power converter to control the discharge from the power storage device to a feeder cable and charging from the feeder cable to the power storage device, an at-charging voltage control line to pull down the feeder cable voltage Vs to the power charge operation starting voltage Vabs, an at-discharging voltage control line to pull down the feeder cable voltage Vs to the power discharge operation starting voltage Vdisc, a charging rate control line to put the charging rate SOC of the power storage device identical to the charging rate command value SOCref, and a suppress control line to stop the operation of the power converter when the feeder cable voltage Vs is no higher than Vabs and no lower than Vdisc and the absolute of the deviation of SOC from SOCref lies within the reference valueΔSOC.
