PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new pulsation level measuring method and measuring device capable of uniformly, easily and stably measuring the level of pulsation that a gas appliance generates. SOLUTION: A pulsation from a pulsation generation source as a gas appliance is caught as a sound pressure level, and is converted to acoustic energy, which energy is then set as an index of the pulsation level measurement. The device is constituted of a conduit 11 spirally wound and connected with the pulsation generation source 1, a sound pressure level measuring means 12 attached to the conduit, a buffer tank 14 capable of absorbing the acoustic energy caused by the pulsation, and a means 30 for converting the sound pressure measured with the sound pressure measuring means to acoustic energy.
