PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and an image processing method for properly composing a composite image by overlapping images having a set non-transparency to each other and a program for executing the image processing method on a computer for properly composing the images. SOLUTION: The images S1 and S2, for which non-transparencyα1 andα2 are set respectively, are stored in a storage medium 11. A composition processing part 17 finds a pixel value T of a composite image S from pixel values T1 and T2 of the images S1 and S2 according to the following expression: T = T1×α1×(1-α2)/α+T2×α2/α,α=α1+α2-α1×α2.
