FUEL CELL, FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR THE FUEL CELL AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCE USING FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell reducing the power consumption of an auxiliary machine such as a pump and adapted to a high power appliance and a fuel supplying system for the fuel cell.

SOLUTION: A porous member 6A retaining liquid fuel and supplying the liquid fuel by a capillary force to an anode 2 which is a fuel electrode for a power generation part 100 and the pump 13 supplying the liquid fuel in a fuel tank 20 to the anode 2 are provided in the fuel cell using liquid fuel. In low power generation, fuel is supplied to the anode 2 by the capillary force of the porous member 6A with the pump 13 in a stopped state. In high power generation, the pump 13 is driven and the fuel is supplied to the anode by the pump and the capillary force of the porous member.
