<p>This invention provides a process for producing microcapsules, which can produce microcapsules having no significant film swollen tendency without using aldehydes, and microcapsules produced by the process. This production process of microcapsules is a process for producing microcapsules having a protein film using a complex coacervation method and is characterized in that, in curing a coacervate film, a water-soluble polymer compound having an electric conductivity of 0.005 to 1.2 S/m as a 10 wt% aqueous solution, or a water-soluble polymer compound selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyethylene oxide, and their mixtures is allowed to coexist. The microcapsules thus produced contain any of the above water-soluble polymer compounds in their film part. These microcapsules are useful, for example, for magnetic display media.</p> |
