PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus, which enable high-quality image to be formed at a high speed by removing a liquid component of an ink image on a recording medium without the need for tremendous energy. SOLUTION: An aggregated ink image is formed by imparting a reactive liquid and ink to the recording medium. When the liquid component is removed from the aggregated ink image, a liquid absorber 8, which is unidirectionally carried to a recovery side from a supply side, is brought into contact with the aggregated ink image.
