PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device that reduces power consumption and increases performance with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This electronic device is provided with a switching power supply that includes switching elements that control a current made to flow in an inductor, and clamping elements that clamp a counter electromotive voltage generated in the inductor to a specified potential to form an output voltage through the inductor; and a load circuit that includes a processor that is operated by the output voltage formed by the switching power supply. A control signal, which changes over switching frequency of the switching element according to the current consumption in the signal processing by the processor, is supplied to the switching power supply.
