The invention concerns an air-driven device for producing driving force designed to produce electric power. The invention is characterized in that it consists of an air-circulating vertical conduit (1) at least 100 meters high wherein is installed a turbine (2), the inlet (3) of the lower part (1a) of the conduit (1) upstream of the turbine (2) being configured to collect a useful air volume while the upper part (1b) of the conduit (1) downstream of the turbine (2) is configured to cause the air collected in the lower part (1a) to be sucked through the turbine (2), the outlet of the upper part (1b) of the conduit (1) being further configured to enable only air to be evacuated and any intake of cold air into the conduit (1) to be inhibited. The invention is useful for producing electric power.
